CEOAI // EUROAI DAY FOUR
Not quite done, yet!

Not quite done, yet!
Hello. Yeah, it’s us again, do you have any problem with that??? That’s what we thought. :)
(we’re just joking, we’re so happy that you’re here!!! yayy)
Soo… as you’ve probably guessed (and got used to it) we’re here to catch you up with the latest activities & events from Day 4 of the olympiad. Now, let’s begin, shall we?
Day 4 - finally, some peace!
Today began with a tasty breakfast (and this time we can confirm! since we’ve also tried it out, it was yummy indeed), and some new faces around. Lots of students apparently had to take an exam in the FSEGA building, which was quite unexpected. Anyway, aside from that, participants liked the food, it was really cool seeing new friendships being developed at breakfast, people talking with each other over a tasty cup of coffee or some bowls of cereal. Now that’s what we’d call a win!
After that everyone prepared to embark on the buses so we could go asap to CREIC (the examination center), where contestants would take the second competition round. After a few tries and some arrangements with the bus drivers (they’ve got the arrival place wrong for some reason lol), we’ve managed to bring everyone to CREIC.
The first thing we did after we’ve arrived at CREIC was to take some interviews, we’ve found quite a few interested people and we can’t wait to show you what they said! We’ll even quote them here, just so you can have a preview of their thoughts regarding this olympiad :)

Now, it was time for the competition round. After some hard work and making sure everything works accordingly and that everyone was seated in their assigned seats, the final moment came: the second competition round!
In a few seconds everyone started typing. Wherever you would’ve looked, you could only see focused students on solving their tasks, passionately and with ingeniosity. We’re really proud of you! You’ve showed some amazing skills and we can’t wait for you to see the final results. :D

Now, before I start showing you those fancy quotes that we were talking about – i just wanted to let you know (even though we’ve said it yesterday, too) that we’re really proud of you. Every single person from this olympiad was really nice and we couldn’t be more happy with you! So, again, we’d like to congratulate you for being an awesome sauce person :)
Okay now going back to the quotes, here are some thoughts from this year’s participants:
-
"Ever since I was young, I had a deep passion for coding, and then, when I discovered Machine Learning I focused on that." (Kareem, UAE)
-
"I started learning about AI about 3-4 months ago and I like it because there are interesting problems and it feels great solving them." (Zalán, Hungary)
-
"In my school and in the place where we took informatics competitions they started talking about AI and I started learning about new models and everything. It’s the future, so I really enjoyed it." (Luis, Puerto Rico)
-
"The atmosphere is very good, very vibrant, there are a lot of countries, very much culture, you can socialize with a lot of people." (Tudor, Romania)
Hmm, interesting, isn’t it? Honestly, we’re really glad that we’ve had the chance to meet such passionate people. You’ve proven that you can be both nice and highly skilled at what you like to do! Making quite the impressions, aren’t you? :)
Now, before we move forward i just wanted to remind everyone that you can check contestant’s results at the competition round on our platform: judge.nitro-ai.org.
You can also see the tasks and more information about the competition itself.
Something funny!
Yeah so – Andrei here 👋– i just wanted to tell you that today i was assigned with finish what we had left to print. It was a HORRIFIC experience (literally), even though i’ve had to fight with Cluj’s traffic in order to get them in time, it was definitely worth it. I can’t wait for you to see them!
Now, let’s move forward :)
Teambuilding time!
After the competition round, it was finally time for team building. Everyone split into groups: some went to Guild Hall to play some board games together and the other half went to the botanical garden, which, from what i understood (sadly i couldn’t be there since i was busy with organising issues) it was amazing. And most importantly everyone had fun! Even Anna & Lorena who were actively working on finish a few tasks left for preparing tomorrow’s closing ceremony :)

And of course I have to mention our late night trip – we’ve got the chance to explore Cluj at night time! Although it involved a lot of walking and almost missing some buses, it was quite extraordinary. But the most important thing is that everyone had fun, interacted with one another and discussed lots of things, from solutions to today’s tasks to what color they like, their passions & hobbies and just bonding overall. True bonding!
Here’s a pic that should give you exactly the vibe of today’s atmosphere:

Amazing!
Now, what about tomorrow?
Well…sadly, tomorrow is the last day. I’m not going to write everything that i was thinking of telling you, since there’s one newsletter left – but don’t worry, i won’t gatekeep them for long! (hehe)
(also i just realised that it’s 4 AM as i’m writing this, which is kinda unexpected and i might regret this tomorrow morning – aka in a few hours – but hey, i hope you’re gonna like what we wrote!)
So yes, tomorrow is going to be an interesting day. Aside from the closing ceremony, you’ll get the chance to visit a famous location from our country – Salina Turda. Can’t wait to see what you think about it!
Anyway, it’s getting late. I reaaaallly hope that you’re not reading this right now, cuz if you do… please go to sleep! (it’s funny cuz i’m the one who’s telling you to go to sleep when i should’ve been asleep like 3h ago, but here we are :) )
See ya later, alligator!
