It’s happening.

After months of planning, countless meetings, way too many spreadsheets, and more coffee than we’d like to admit… the first edition of the Central European Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence has officially begun.

This week, Cluj-Napoca becomes the meeting point for over 100 delegates on-site and 5 remote delegations, bringing together some of Europe’s brightest high school AI students, team leaders, and volunteers for a week we’ll all remember.

And yes… we’ll be the people filling your feed with everything that’s happening here. Every. Single. Day. :)

Day 1 - Arrival Day

Today was all about welcoming everyone to Romania.

Our volunteers greeted delegations at airports, train stations, and hotels, helped with check in, answered approximately a million questions (“Where’s my badge?”, “Is this the right bus?”, “Where do we eat?” or an even better one: "WHEN do we eat?"), and made sure every participant felt at home from the moment they arrived.

Students also completed the Practice Round, testing the competition infrastructure and getting familiar with the Nitro AI Judge platform before the real challenge begins.

Meanwhile, team leaders met during the General Assembly, where we presented the competition format, rules, schedule, and everything needed to ensure a fair and exciting first edition.

Tomorrow...

Tomorrow, the first European Olympiad officially begins.

The Opening Ceremony will mark the start of the very first edition of EUROAI – a competition created to bring together talented young AI enthusiasts from across Europe, challenge them, inspire them, and build a community that extends far beyond the contest itself.

We honestly can’t wait to show you what’s coming next.
