CEOAI // EUROAI DAY TWO
Eat well, sleep well and dream well, teams!

Eat well, sleep well and dream well, teams!
Oh, hello fellow participant! (or delegate…or just someone who likes to read this newsletter, really). We’re back, just as promised, to tell you more about today’s activities and keep you up to date with what happened. Now let’s get into it and unwrap this whole amazing day. :)
Day 2 - Opening Ceremony

Today was a really important day, honestly, and we couldn’t be more excited to tell you all about it!
SO…i think that you’ve heard by now the phrase “We live in the Era of AI – the robots are here!”... (yes, indeed, it is a reference to EXACTLY what you’re thinking of right now). Well, today’s opening ceremony marked the beginning of a very prestigious olympiad - EUROAI. We’re glad that we’ve got the opportunity to host the first edition of the European Olympiad in AI in Cluj, Romania, as this city represents an important aspect when talking about the AI industry. Nonetheless, lots of important figures have given a speech at today’s opening ceremony, such as: Daniel David (head of UBB Cluj), John Shawe-Taylor, Miruna Zavelca, Chris Luntraru, and many more…!
A meaningful quote comes right from the heart of the organizing team: “You all deserve to be here.” – IC. Drd. Miruna Zăvelcă, the one who’s to blame for this amazing event. :)

One of the most amazing and important moments from the ceremony was the walk of the delegations: every single delegation that has participated to this edition got the chance to present themselves to everyone present on-site. (strike a pose, bestie!)

After the ceremony, everyone took pictures and met new people from all over the world, making friends and creating new bonds. We’re glad to see such excitement to meet and learn new cultures and people!
Anyway, now we should move on the the rest of the activities, shall we?
So what happened after?
Good question!
Today was a pretty busy day, as we’ve had to move everyone to quite a few places and make sure everything went according to the plans we’ve made as much as we could. (btw please do not forget that we’re updating the schedule as fast as we receive the updates, so make sure you’re checking it frequently! Here’s the link in case you forgot it: https://euroai-official.org/2026/schedule )
Let’s start with the first activity (yes, the one who everyone likes): food!
We’ve got just in time to CREIC, where the delegates had some tasty food, right before the practice session. Honestly, i can’t really tell you how tasty it was since i didn’t really try it but everyone seemed to like it, so.. i’d call that a win, right?
Anyway, moving on, the practice session was about to start: our staff was busy making sure everyone was placed both in the right rooms and the exact positions they were assigned to.
After that, the practice session began – and suddenly, everyone silenced. Each individual was focused on trying to understand and break the problem in order to get a high score, quite a determination on them if you’d ask us!
After the practice session we’ve embarked on our next trip: the BMW Dinner & workshops. Oh yeah, we’ve also had workshops! There were 2 timespans today when people could attend workshops: during the lunch break and during the diner at BMW. They were both lovely, and they’ve had some really interesting activities!
In the end, after the Diner everyone got back to the hotel, safely (but pretty tired), getting ready for their beauty sleep. (not really since tomorrow’s the first official round but hey, at least they’ve had fun today!)
So… i think that’s kind of it for today. We’ll keep sending you daily newsletters (sometimes a bit earlier and sometimes… not that early, but hey, you’ll get them!)
Don’t forget that every activity is also showcased on our social media accounts, so go hit the follow button there as well!
See you tomorrow, and have a good one, bud’!
